Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in solar power projects to support the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, structural design, and solar project execution while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review mechanical layouts for utility-scale and rooftop solar PV projects.
- Prepare and evaluate mounting structure designs, support systems, and foundation layouts.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervise installation of module mounting structures, trackers, and other mechanical components.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for solar installations.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and vendor documents.
- Monitor project progress and ensure completion within the planned schedule and budget.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients during project execution.
- Perform quality inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical installations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during installation and operation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Optimize mechanical designs to improve project performance and reduce costs.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for operational solar plants.
- Ensure proper documentation of engineering calculations, drawings, inspection records, and project reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- 2–8 years of experience in solar EPC, utility-scale solar, or rooftop solar projects.
- Experience in solar mounting structures, trackers, module installation, and structural systems.
- Knowledge of engineering standards, structural analysis, and project execution.
- Familiarity with solar plant construction and commissioning processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Note- Should have Experience in Renewable Energy Ground mounted (MW)
