Job Roles: Assistant/Deputy Manager - HR & Admin (Solar EPC – Ground Mount Projects)

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive HR & Admin professional to manage end-to-end human resources and administrative functions at solar EPC project sites. The role requires hands-on experience in site HR operations, workforce management, and statutory compliance in a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site HR Operations

    • Manage end-to-end HR activities at project site including onboarding, attendance, payroll inputs, and exit formalities.
    • Handle mobilization and demobilization of site workforce (staff, labor, and contractors).
    • Maintain employee records, HRMIS updates, and documentation.
    • Address employee grievances and ensure a positive work environment at site.

2. Manpower & Labor Management

    • Coordinate with contractors for labor deployment as per project requirements.
    • Monitor workforce productivity and ensure adequate manpower availability.
    • Maintain muster rolls, wage records, and labor documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with minimum wages and labor laws.

3. Payroll & Contractor Billing Support

    • Validate attendance and provide inputs for payroll processing.
    • Verify contractor bills related to manpower deployment.
    • Ensure accurate tracking of overtime, leaves, and deductions.

4. Administration & Site Facilities

    • Oversee site administration, including accommodation, transportation, and canteen services.
    • Manage guest houses, site offices, housekeeping, and security.
    • Ensure availability of basic amenities and welfare facilities for employees and labor.

5. Employee Engagement & Welfare

    • Organize employee engagement activities at site.
    • Drive initiatives related to health, safety, and well-being.
    • Support EHS team in implementing safety policies and awareness programs.

6. Coordination & Reporting

    • Liaise with project managers, EPC teams, and corporate HR/Admin.
    • Prepare and share reports on manpower, attrition, compliance status, and site issues.
    • Support audits and internal reviews.

Candidate Profile

    • 11–15 years of experience in HR & Admin roles at construction/infra/solar EPC sites.
    • Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
    • Experience handling contract labor and large site workforce.
    • Good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently in remote site conditions.

Key Requirements

    • Willingness to stay at project site (residential role).
    • Experience in solar ground-mounted projects preferred.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
    • Exposure to multi-location site HR management
    • Strong coordination with EPC contractors and vendors
    • Ability to handle high-pressure project timelines
