Job Role: Assistant Manager - Planning & Billing (Solar EPC - Ground Projects)
Location: Project Site (Residential Role)
Experience: 11–13 years
Qualification: BE/BTech in Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage project planning, scheduling, and billing functions at solar EPC project sites. The role is critical in ensuring timely project execution, accurate billing, cost control, and effective coordination between site and corporate teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

    • Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like MS Project/Primavera.
    • Develop baseline schedules, micro-level planning, and resource-loaded plans.
    • Track progress against schedule and highlight delays, risks, and mitigation plans.
    • Coordinate with site teams to ensure adherence to milestones and timelines.

2. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

    • Monitor daily/weekly progress of:
    • Civil works (foundations, roads, trenching)
    • MMS erection
    • Electrical works (cable laying, installation, testing)
    • Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and progress reports for management.
    • Conduct variance analysis (planned vs actual) and recommend corrective actions.

3. Client & Contractor Billing

    • Prepare and process RA (Running Account) bills for clients as per contract terms.
    • Verify and certify contractor/vendor bills based on work completed at site.
    • Ensure accurate measurement and documentation for quantities executed.
    • Track billing status, invoicing, and payment follow-ups.

4. Quantity Surveying & Cost Control

    • Prepare and validate BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
    • Monitor project costs against budget and highlight variances.
    • Support in cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.

5. Documentation & Contract Management

    • Maintain records of contracts, work orders, change orders, and amendments.
    • Track scope changes, variations, and claims.
    • Ensure proper documentation for billing, audits, and client approvals.

6. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

    • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and finance teams.
    • Interface with clients, consultants, and contractors for billing and planning matters.
    • Support corporate teams with data and reports for decision-making.

Key Requirements

    • Willingness to reside at project site (mandatory).
    • Ability to handle dynamic site conditions and tight timelines.
    • Experience in utility-scale solar projects
    • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or equivalent)
    • Knowledge of cost control and project financials and contracts, BOQs, and billing processes.
