Electrical Supervisor – Data Center Projects

🔧 Role Summary

Lead and oversee all on-site electrical installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair within data center construction or retrofit projects. Ensure work meets design specs, regulatory standards, and uptime requirements.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Supervise electricians, subcontractors, and technical teams on-site.
Interpret and enforce electrical drawings, schematics, and design documents.
Plan, schedule, resource-manage, and ensure project milestones are met.
Perform inspections and quality audits to maintain installation integrity.
Troubleshoot electrical systems — UPS, generators, switchgear, busways, switchboards, CRAC, etc.
Enforce safety regulations (NFPA, NEC/NFPA 70E, OSHA, local codes) with toolbox talks and compliance checks.
Maintain documentation: progress reports, inspection logs, SOPs, Method of Procedures (MOPs), testing records.
Coordinate with PMs, design teams, clients, QA engineers, and regulatory bodies.
Manage materials, tools, budgets, and equipment inventories.
Mentor and train electrical staff, promoting best practices and technical skills.

🎓 Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualified trade certification.
4+ years in electrical engineering or contracting roles, with at least 2–3 years supervising in data center or critical infrastructure environments.
In-depth knowledge of power distribution systems: 480V, 12 kV switchgear, UPS, diesel generators, battery systems, AC/DC infrastructure in data centers.
Familiarity with code/compliance standards: NEC, NFPA 70E/72/25, OSHA, local regulations.
Experience with commissioning-critical systems and large-scale installations (e.g. modular UPS deployment, busway).
Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
Comfortable working in 24×7 critical facility environments; flexible scheduling and shift support.
